Rich Folk and "Commoners"

I always knew that there was a difference in the financial classes but, until this weekend I had never felt like a lower business class; and I have never treated anyone above me or below me financially, any differently so I never realized the mental differences. This weekend was an eye opener for not only myself but also for my husband. I went on a road trip with my family while my husband had to work and unfortunately our boat motor blew up while we were in the middle of the Charlotte Harbor. Understandably this IS something that happens and at that point it was just trying to determine how we were going to find our way back into the boat ramp. Through several attempts we gave up on the boat motor and started using our trolling motor to get us as close to the dock as we could get as I made several attempts at calling for a "friend" to come tow us back in. Common Decency

At one point in time several generations ago.... Actually let me stop there because it should still be alive today.  CHIVALRY!!! It is NOT dead and it never did die it just isn't taught anymore. It really should be shown to our children that Doors should be opened for women and elderly people. (Yes, it is frustrating when they are rude or don't say thank you but it is worth it) Men should walk on the outside of the sidewalk closest to the road. We should ALL say please and thank you. Yes ma'am and no Sir. Excuse me and Pardon. If a man is in the car with a woman when she pulls up to a gas station, the man should get out and pump the gas.
